This position what temporary held by past-President Tiffany Prater until someone could be found to fill the position.Katherine Whitten, CDT has stepped up to the call and was unanimously elected during an ORG conference call held on December 5th, 2024. Katherine was installed immediately to her new position.

I have over 36 years in the orthodontic field. Having worked as an orthodontic assistant for 10 years, I realized my true passion was working in the lab. Upon graduating from University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio in 2002 and completing the CDT program, I opened my first lab, Orthodontic Designs, in Sugar Land, Texas. 10 years later, I closed the lab to embark on a new journey. I opened Retainer Art Orthodontic Laboratory in Missouri City, Texas when I returned where I am blessed to continue to do what I love.
The ability to teach others has been a part of my career. I guest lecture orthodontic residents, have taught at Voxel Dental Solutions, as well as one-on-one sessions in my lab. I find joy in empowering others to create orthodontic appliances that they can be proud of..
I am married to my husband Ken. Family is at the heart of everything I do. With three amazing daughters, three loyal dogs, and three delightful grandchildren, my life is filled with love, laughter, and endless adventures.
